How Your Gift Helps

Your gift to the Franciscan Missions helps us continue to make a real and positive impact on the lives of the people that we serve. The power of your gift will allow us to offer grant requests from missions across the world. We will be able to respond to natural disasters and conflicts with lifesaving food, water, medicines, and support. Through our network of missionaries, we will be able to offer feeding programs and educational support for marginalized children and families. And with generous gifts we will support the repair and construction of homes, schools, hospitals, and churches.

It will also provide us with the resources to maintain a growing Franciscan order. In Franciscan formation houses around the world, seminarians move one day closer to consecrating their lives as Franciscan friars. Afterwards, each of them will begin to preach the Gospel message and serve the poor as Saint Francis of Assisi did.

By the power of the Holy Spirit, they will become pastors, teachers, catechists, and assistants, of Catholic parishes around the world. They will serve in many capacities: as caregivers to the aged and poor, as missionaries, or as leaders in the Franciscan Order and in the future Church.

Legacy giving, sometimes referred to as “planned giving,” is a donation made by an individual through a will or other formal designation. Legacy gifts provide the foundation for the Franciscan Missions. And, these gifts allow you to take care of your family, provide for gifts to loved ones, and include a charitable gift for the Franciscan Order.
